Druid as Shaman

Druids as Bards produced artistic works in healing lyrical lines and patterns of balanced love, light, and power. The Druids as Bards also helped to restore harmonic resonance to the planet once again.

The Druid as Ovates were shamanic journeyers and time travellers who journeyed to the realms of the ancestors and to the starry shores of future isles for information and inspiration to guide the clan or tribe. Working with plants, herbs and other healing modalities the Druid as Ovate worked with the fires of transmutation, transformation, and regeneration.

The life cycle of the acorn as it grew to become the sapling and then to become the oak tree which sprouted spring leaves which in turn became autumn gold foliage, intrigued and totally involved the Druid as Ovate in the spiral, circle dance of Creation.

The Druid as Ovate then studied the powerful mysteries underlying nature and the stars to find formulas to restore equilibrium to mind, body, and spirit.

The specialty of the Druid as Ovate was the Ogham, tree lore. Ogham was a method of communication for the Druids and for the remembrance of lore. The Ogham characters were written on wooden staves or inscribed on stones.

Ogham consisted of twenty five strokes branching off a central line like the limbs of a tree. Each stroke corresponded to an alphabetic letter. Although similar in purpose, Ogham, as a powerful symbolic language, was distinctive from the Nordic Runes.

The Ogham glyph system was similar to a grove of trees where each tree was a knowledge and power key that corresponded to certain colors, numbers, human characteristics, stones, stars, divine qualities, animals, birds, and animals.

Like a forest of neural dendrites recording the memories of knowledge and the wisdom of experience, the Ogham served as a connectivity timebridge for storytelling, song, and restoring balance by honoring the circle of sacred traditions.

During their Threefold practice that honored the Wheel of the Seasons, the Druids served as teachers of the oral traditions, as ritual guides between the worlds, as inspiration bridges between Awen and Earth, and as fluidic learned loremasters.

As custodians of the knowledge keys, the Druids sang the universal lines of connectivity, of circularity, of cyclical change, and of creative inspiration down through the ages.

The Druids were the Warders of the ancestral rites of the seasonal round and of the sacredness of the land, sea, and sky.

The soul fingers of the Druid as Shaman strummed the strings of balanced bonding with magical precision until note after note, word after word, spiraled outward in impassioned song lines that weaved multicolored leaves of unity that enhanced the sanctity of all life on the World Tree...Go back
