Dolphins are the original planetary Animal Totem for both the Orion and Pleiadian home worlds. When I was a little girl, my family used to spend two weeks every summer at the seashore in North Wildwood, New Jersey. The small apartment my parents rented was three blocks from the beach, so every morning we would carry folding chairs, a picnic lunch, towels, and a large beach umbrella to the sandy shoreline. My parents wanted to spend the entire day there reading and enjoying the smells and sights of the sea. I remember the joy everyone experienced whenever dolphins appeared leaping high above the waves. To me they seemed to soar heavenward, awakening some genetic starcode for intergalactic space travel. My mission which I chose to accept was to scoop out a large hole in the sand where I constructed my spaceship, using glass coke bottle bottoms as my instrument gauges. My parents were enormously pleased with my project because I happily wiled away the day there, lost in my private ruminations. This left them free to read uninterrupted by my questions about the nature of life or my frequent requests to splash around with me in the ocean. What was unusual about this entire occurrence was that it occurred during the early 1950's in the infancy days of black and white television. I had not been exposed to the concept of space travel let alone the improbability of a female being a spaceship pilot. Every evening my parents helped me carefully cover over my spaceship with a lightly packed layer of sand. Then, the next day they would help me scoop it out again. Ever present on the horizon were the leaping dolphins, along with memories of somewhen, somewhere in time when I was a star journeyer. The sonic soundscapes of my dolphin friends helped me to remember as a child; and dolphins have continued to reappear at critical moments of my current lifetime to remind me that we are timeless spiritual beings, experiencing wave like moments and movements on the eternal ocean of Being. When I began the journey of helping others to heal from their personal soul woundings and to awaken to their inner divine destinies using crystals and stones, a dolphin pair manifested as inclusions in the helpmate section of one of my water clear, quartz crystals. They communicated that they were there because they wanted to help others help themselves. At the time they performed this harmonic resonance magick, I did not consciously remember that the dolphin was the original planetary Animal Totem for the Orion and Pleiadian home worlds.
Dolphins are warm
blooded social mammals with a well developed sense of humor who live in groups
called pods and communicate with vocalizations similar to types and variations
of whistles, buzzings, rasping barks, and Bronx cheer-like noises and other
sounds pitched above the human hearing range. Their lively playfulness and sense
of humor unfortunately does not extend to be being taken into captivity by
humans. Most of them quickly die when they are deprived of their freedom and
fellowship with the dolphin community.
Once in the early 1980's when I took my friend's two children to a theme park in New Jersey for the day, I sat with them on some hard wooden bleachers as they watched a forced performance by some dolphins in a tiny pool of chlorinated water. I felt the keen heart pain of the dolphins who had trouble comprehending why humans would made them perform circus type tricks for their amusement and a handful of fish. The dolphins did not understand what they had done (besides millenia of loving service) to deserve such callous, insensitive treatment by humans. I was at a loss to explain such inhumane conduct to them. It was heart wrenching to see them so saddened and disenfranchised. They did not blame me personally for their plight, but, they refused to put on a disingenuous mask of "lets grin and bear it " because making waves or rocking the boat is politically incorrect or unpopular with the masses who want to believe that animals enjoy performing tricks for them or being imprisoned in zoos. Hopefully, the human group mind will soon cognize a different way of relating to the dolphins, as well as, all the other animal species on this Animal Planet. Let that be the prayer (rather than the shot) heard around the world. Dolphins who often exhibit altruistic behavior were sacred messengers to the Greeks, and, a symbol of salvation to the early Christians. They are also the Power Animal for the abbreviated Age of Pisces which has only just begun within the last few years since the Seattle, WA earthquake in late February, 2001. In the past, researchers have been unable to find any historical instances where dolphins attacked humans. When scientists have tried to manipulate the dolphin to harm others they resisted even at the cost of their own life which seems to suggest a level of spiritual evolution more advanced than most humans. Over the years there have been frequent reports in the tabloids about dolphins responding to the telepathic prayer or plea for help of people swept out to sea by a strong undertow or swift ocean currents. They gently pushed them back to safety.
Dolphins that are
closely bonded swim in synchronistic harmony with one another. Each dolphin has
its own signature whistle similar to our names. The dolphins as allies and
totems can help us develop our primordial creativity and flow with the universal
currents to more pristine waters in other dimensions. Prana, the watery breathe
of the elemental lifeforces is their forte. Rhythmic control and alignment leads
to realignment and subsequent rebirth. The subtle sonic reverberations of
trusting companionship and heartwarming touch assist the caterpillar in its
transition to become a butterfly.
