Celtic spiritual traditions included deeply held beliefs in an afterlife, fairy
mounds, immortality, magic, Nature Spirits, and supernatural and mythical beings
and monsters who made their home in the Otherworld. The boundaries between this
world and the Otherworld were adaptable, fluidic, and malleable. All Celtic
mortals had the ability or aptitude to cross over the thresholds between lands
and realms and to travel back and forth between them. During the Celtic Calendar
Festivals of Beltaine and Samhain the boundaries betwixt and between worlds
disappeared for a time, for a spell... Natural World and Otherworld
More than one hundred and
five miles long and more than 13,100 feet above sea level, deep blue Lake
Titicaca has been infused with the patina of traditional folklore. The lake was
also the nexus point of Inca creation myths. According to the legends of the
Inca, the god Vairacocha came out of Lake Titicaca in order to create both the
sun and the moon, as well as, to shape humans from stone. Interestingly,
the Uros people of Lake Titicaca, who now live on the floating Uros islands made
from compressed layers of totora reeds, originally left the lower altitude
terraces surrounding the lake in their reed boats in order to avoid interaction
with tribes like the Incas... Lake Titicaca and Machu Picchu

Golden yellow Amber is a
mineraloid fossilized tree resin with inclusions of insects (ants, bees, flies,
gnats, moths, etc.) or plants parts (flowers, leaves, mushroom caps, seeds, pine
needles, etc.). Millions of years old, Amber is a timelink window to the past, a
transparent plastic photograph containing ancient Tree Spirit lore. Since most
of the world's amber deposits are the byproduct of the trees' defensive systems
protecting them from parasitic or fungal attacks, it is a more primal form of
record keeping than the quartz crystal archiving practiced by some of the
antediluvian Cultures...

We are much more than a
physical body bounded by time and space to a material world. We are also
multidimensional, spiritual beings with stardust coursing through our veins.
Once we set our imaginations free and let our hearts soar by appreciating the
commonalities and connections we share with others, we heal ourselves. The daisy
and the iris have different outward appearances and fragrances, yet both enhance
our environment with their beauty and grace. If we want to bring more
compassion, harmony, and peace into our lives, we must remember who we really
are in every moment of every day...
