Ostara Eostre was a brightly lovely ancient Pan-Celtic and Pan-Germanic solar fertility goddess renown in Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Germanic, Roman, and Greek myths. The personification of fertility, new beginnings, spring, rebirth, and renewal, Ostara Eastre in her capacity as a friend to children of all ages, transformed her rainbow hued Animal Totem bird into a rabbit that brought forth brilliantly hued eggs which she gave as gifts of reflective knowledge about the mysteries of spiritual renewal to others. Long associated with the Vernal Equinox which marked the first day of spring, her Anglo-Saxon goddess name Eastre also became associated over the years with the transfiguration and resurrection festival of Easter. Her symbols are baskets, eggs, equilateral crosses, and rabbits.
As the rebirthing goddess of the sunrise, Ostara Eastre manifests as the eternal maiden, continually revealing the
symbology of cyclical, migratory, egg laying fecundity, as well as, the labyrinth of prehistoric anthropomorphic designs.
