As Hathor (Hathôr, Hathur), she was an ancient, pre-dynastic, Egyptian goddess. Revered from 2700 BCE - 400 ACE, she was mentioned in the "Book of the Dead and on Papyrus. Hathor was depicted on paintings. reliefs, sculptures, sistrum rattles, and wall paintings. Centers were she was revered include Dendara, Giza, and Thebes. She was generally portrayed as a sky cow goddess with a benevolent motherly nature who was the mother of all Egyptian pharohs. Sometimes she was depicted as a cow or wearing ears suckling a child. A primeval Great Sky Mother, creative and regenerative Balancer of Universal Forces, and patroness of the arts, she was often depicted wearing either an omega symbol hairstyle or a sun disc crown with curved cow horns. Hathor also travelled and sojourned in Mesopotamia where she was known as Mama (Mami), the Sumerian and Akkadian mother goddess. Mentioned in the Atrahasis and other creation legends, Mama who contributed to the creation of the first humans from clay and blood. The word Mama was usually the first word uttered by a child.
Hathôr Mama was the
wife of Tatênen Sulpa and the mother of Anubis, Isîs Nisun, and Neptune Njord.

Under the auspices of federal land use management programs, a harmonious relationship with the land is fostered and the Pinelands are environmentally protected. Within the 1.1 million acre reserve lies one of the largest areas of pristine forest on the Mid-Atlantic seacoast. The area also provides habitat for a diverse array of fauna and flora.
