Sea green Aventurine is translucent quartzite spangled with fuchsite, goethite, hematite, mica, or pyrite inclusions. Banded tumbled stones sparkle with the joy of a compassionately awakened heart chakra and glisten with the balanced wisdom of light on dancing waters. Sea Green is the most common colour of Aventurine rocks. Other colours of Aventurine include blue, creamy white, brown, gray, red, orange and yellow. Found mainly in Chile, India, Spain, and Russia, the hardness of Aventurine is about 6.5; while, the Specific Gravity of Aventurine varies between 2.64-2.69. Aventurine resonates to the number three, that of the enlightened empress and is a synergistic blend of water and kundalini energies. Life is meant to be a celebration. Long ago, the dolphins accepted the invitation to feast on nature's bounty. They live in harmony with their male/female energies in balance and fully immerse themselves in the aventurescence of the waters of life. Something that most of us rarely do mostly because we still ride a seesaw of emotional highs and lows. Often we do not give because of a sense of lack or because we were mistreated by others. We may also have been victimized by energy thieves who siphoned off our precious life force from our three lower chakras (grounding, sexual, solar plexus) or stole from our stockpile of positive karma. The only way we knew how to stop the leakage was to shut off the spigot. With trusty sea green aventurine acting as a strong shield, however, we do not have to close the doorway to our heart.
The pure green essence of
this stone is balm to turbulent feelings. It can gently penetrate to the crux of
any problem, allowing you to examine it reflectively. Then you can resolve
troubling issues easily and clear out any lingering stagnation. Sea green
aventurine allows you to spring clean all the nooks and crannies of your
emotional closets anytime of year.
When our feminine moon side is in equilibrium with our masculine sun side, water does not extinguish fire. When the heart chakra is an empowered vortex, it is a wisdom well where streams of love, light, and power from our crown, third eye, and throat chakras meld with the upflowing kundalini spiral from our root, passion, and solar plexus chakras, becoming a figure eight, infinity spring of wholesome harmonics. Then our heart starts to emit a radiance that turns formerly opaque moods translucent. As I was writing some of these concepts down, I held a piece of sea green aventurine in my hand that I had picked from a large basket of multicolored stones. I had never worked with it before. Within a short time, I noticed that several pictograms had manifested on different surfaces of the stone. One was of a stick figure with a headdress of three plumes and a large circle for a heart with five rays coming out of it. This represented love, light, and power coming through the crown chakra and the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, ether) and five senses (sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste) that are balanced within the heart chakra. Equilibrium leads to equanimity and serenity leads right back to stability in an endless reciprocal loop. My inner child was delighted by what still seems magickal and miraculous to me whenever it happens even if it happens several times a day. The exalted knowingness of this small stone, so alive with elemental energy, moved me profoundly.
There was a bind rune on
the other side. The pictogram was an upright composite of Wynn (emotional
balance, success, fulfillment), Feoh (protection, increase, consolidation) and
Sigel (health, clarity, confidence). Sea green aventurine is a potent yet gentle
talisman that anyone can use with ease.
