Last Supper
Since none of the disciples
who partook of the Last Supper with Jesus wrote about their experience, what we
know about their last meal together was written down by others many decades
afterwards. The early custom of Christians for the first four decades after the
Ascension of Christ was to honor his request to remember him by breaking bread
together and drinking wine in a home setting, rather than the bloody animal
sacrifcial offerings that were practiced in the temple at the time. Women
disciples were at the Last Supper and for many decades Christians remembered
Christ by sharing a meal together in a home with both men and women in
attendance, sharing the ceremonial aspects of the celebratory meal.
Later on a power struggle
ensued between the early Christian male and female disciples and the remembrance
of the Last Supper was moved out of the home into a separate building and
rigidly ritualized with men deciding that only men would be allowed to officiate
into what later on morphed into the Sacrament of Holy Communion and a male only
priesthood officiating at Masses and Sacraments that were never part of the true
teachings of Christ.

Lord's Prayer
After Jesus rebuked those who
prayed simply to be seen in the act of or undergoing the motions of praying by
others, he gave the multitude the Lord's Prayer as an example of the
appropriate way to pray. Rather than a prayer to be learned and recited by rote, the Lord's Prayer was meant to serve as a
prototypical template for how to phrase and articulate prayers. In the Lord's
Prayer, Jesus taught his followers how to ask for forgiveness of their sins. One version of the Lord's Prayer was: Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be
thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give
us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them
that trespass against us; and, lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from
evil. Amen.

Ministering Angels
Over the millenium prayerful
Christians have been blessed, graced, guided, and instructed by angelic
ministering spirits. Christian writings contain references about the
intercessions of angels. Webster's dictionary defines the word angel as, "a
spiritual being superior to man in power and intelligence, an attendant spirit
or guardian, one in the lowest rank in the celestial hierarchy, and a messenger
or harbinger". Beings of great love, light, and power, angels existed long
before the dawning of human history. Like people, they belong to clans or
families. Some of the angels who regularly help humanity include the Builder
Angels; City, State, and National Angels; Guardian Angels; Inspiration Angels,
Messenger Angels; Nature Angels; Prayer; Protector; Song and Warrior.
Jesus was helped
throughout his life and ministry by Ministering Angels. Over the millenium
prayerful Christians have also been blessed, graced, guided, and instructed by
angelic ministering spirits. Christian writings contain references about the intercessions of angels. Webster's dictionary
defines the word angel as, "a spiritual being superior to man in power and
