The Parable of the Good Samaritan was from the Gospel of Luke 10:25-37. Jesus was asked by a lawyer who his neighbour was in regard to the admonishment to love they neighbour as thyself. Jesus told the story of a man who was on a journey from Jerusalem to Jericho when he was robbed, stripped of his clothes, beaten and left half dead by the side of the road. A priest saw him lying there but instead of stopping to assist him, passed by him on the other side of the road. Then a Levite saw him and also passed by him on the other side of the road.
Finally a Samaritan, a
foreign traveller, saw him lying there and took pity upon him. The Samaritan
poured oil and wine on his wounds, bound them, and placed him upon his animal.
He took the injured man to an inn and paid the innkeeper two denarii to take
care of him, promising to reimburse the innkeeper for anything further spent on
the care of the injured man when he returned. Jesus then asked the lawyer which
of the three men acted in a neighborly manner towards the injured man. The
lawyer replied that it was the Samaritan because he showed him compassion and
mercy. Jesus told the lawyer to go forth into the world and to do likewise. Divine Incarnation and Immaculate Conception
Christians believe that
Jesus Christ was immaculately conceived by his mother, Mary the daughter of Ann
and Joachim. During her numerous appearances to Bernadette Soubirous (a young
peasant girl of Massabielle France), Mary testified that she was the Immaculate
Conception. Mary has often been called Queen of the Angels.
The truth is that the human Mary was Archangel Amabael. Through the auspices of
Divine Grace, she incarnated in human form in order to give birth to a child
(the fruit of her womb, the Word made flesh) that was a pure untainted vessel
without the stain of original sin (depraved emotions, passions, and debilities).
As God made Man, Jesus Christ's intimate knowledge of Divine Love is epitomized by his own compassionate, loving heart, as well as, his whole emotional and moral life, and his sentiments and virtues. Pentecost occurred fifty days after the Resurrection of Jesus when the Holy Spirit descended upon his disciples, infusing them with the inner knowing of the true identity of Jesus as the Christ and the real nature of the Trinity. Afterwards his disciplines were filled with the fiery inspiration they needed to go forth and teach all nations. Jesus Christ's life and
teachings are in themselves a devotion to this Sacred Heart of the Trinity. As
Divinity incarnate within Man, Jesus Christ's intimate knowledge of Divine Love
is epitomized by his own compassionate, loving heart, as well as, his whole
emotional and moral life, and his sentiments and virtues.
In the New Testament, the epistle had evolved to be more than a
personal letter - to become a preliterary form of self expression. The epistle
letter addressed a larger Christian audience, followed the rules of art, and is
suitable for general publication...
