Jesus was helped throughout his life and ministry by Ministering Angels. Over the millenium prayerful Christians have also been blessed, graced, guided, and instructed by angelic ministering spirits.
Christian writings contain references about the intercessions of angels. Webster's dictionary defines the word angel as, "a spiritual being superior to man in power and intelligence, an attendant spirit or guardian, one in the lowest rank in the celestial hierarchy, and a messenger or harbinger".
Beings of great love, light, and power, angels existed long before the dawning of human history. Like people, they belong to clans or families.
Some of the angels who regularly help humanity include the Builder Angels; City, State, and National Angels; Guardian Angels; Inspiration Angels, Messenger Angels; Nature Angels; Prayer; Protector; Song and Warrior.

Archangels are angels of special prominence and specific assignment, because of their role as coordinators, directors, empowerers, healers, illuminators, integrators, mages, preservers, protectors, restorers, synthesizers, and transformers, the Archangels are often called "Celestial Envoys".
Beings of heraldic deportment, the Archangels convey the proclamations of divine will throughout the realms of the universe.
Leaders with bridging responsibilities, the Archangels, span dimensional time and space to serve as patrons and protectors of humanity, bringing hallowed blessings and providing intercessional openings
