Alkahest
This is the powerful universal solvent from
Above that facilitates alchemical transformation by separating physical Below substance into its
constituent components and essential natural characteristics. They are rarified
in the cleansing primal waters until they are transmuted into their purest form
- grosser metals into gold; the astral body into a golden consciousness body.

Ankh
Comprised of a spirit circle on top of a mundane cross, this Egyptian hieroglyph was an
alchemical symbol, depicting the ascension of the soul over wordly boundaries.
By quickening the spirit with infusions of spiritual awareness, the life force
rises to higher, more refined levels of Beingness.
Learning how to flow
with evolutionary currents allows one to effortlessly float in the cleansing
waters; thus, bypassing the need to undergo the suffering of the crucifixion
where the karmic crucible transmutes fixed patterns of negativity. True
ascendancy is achieved when the Above totally permeates personal essence Below, raising substance to the level of quintessence. The two become one not only in
the melding of male and female polarities; but; also in the mergence of the
awakened, individual divinity with the totality of Universal Spirit.

Arcana
To the alchemist
the Arcana are archetypal expressions that encompass all aspects of being from
the minutest particles and cells of the body to the most distant galaxies and
their largest stars; from DNA spirals to emotional moods; from survival needs to
vast spiritual aspirations.
From the symbolism and meditative meanings of the Tarot, to the Chinese I Ching, and to the Hebrew Cabala, the Arcana are a way to intuit and interpret the outworkings of the One Mind, the Greek "Logos". Since the Arcana transcend the normal boundaries of relative time and space, deciphering their mysteries empowers the alchemist with the ability to transmute, change, restore, revitalize, and transform.

Magenta Purple-Red. The metal of Calcination is
Lead. The Element of Calcination is Fire. Calcination is represented by Sulphuric
Acid, an intense, flesh eating corrosive made from Vitriol, a natural
substance, Calcination disintegrates negativity and dissolves mundane
attachments.
Riding in a crucible cage on the
ever turning Ferris Wheel of Karma, the spiritual warrior experiences life's
lessons and is stimulated and motivated to challenge and change patterns of
excessive behaviors that lead to cyclical pain and suffering. By igniting the
kundalini fire at the base of the spine with the kindling wood of philosophical
introspection and meditative discipline, individual characteristics are reduced
to their residual components. From these personality, phoenix ashes, a more
metabolically temperate life matrix emerges... Continue on
